T-Roots Beauty joins Beyonce's Black Parade!

Your fave textured hair care brand was one of 100 business owners who got to attend Beyonce’s #beyGOOD Foundation’s Black Parade Route Small Business Impact Luncheon on Friday, July 28th.

I’m literally still on a high! This was an amazing opportunity to meet and connect with other black-owned brands just ahead of Black Business Month, which starts today on August 1st.

As a black-owned brand, the past eight years has been a wild ride running and growing T-Roots Beauty. I’ve definitely been able to participate in and accomplish so many great things within this time and the BeyGood foundation luncheon was definitely one of them.

Our hostess Ivy McGregor @4iamivy, who’s the executive director of the BeyGood charitable organization, poured into each of us with words of encouragement. Plus wealth development strategist extraordinaire @cheryldcreudot dropped so many financial gems during the lunch.

Programs like Beyonce’s #beyGOOD Foundation’s Black Parade Route Luncheon are not only inspiring but important.
Did you know that eight out of ten black-owned businesses fail within the first 18 months? I’ve been fortunate to launch and grow T-Roots Beauty for eight years now (insert hand emoji) thanks in part to many of the opportunities afforded to me through mentorship and access to capital.

While we didn’t walk away with a $10K investment (shout out to the 12 businesses that did)...I was still able to gain lots of info and make some connections that will extend beyond the luncheon.

This is a win for me and you! Stay tuned for some exciting promotions coming up as we celebrate Black Business Month!
